Rural Ride 2026

The traditional ‘Rural Ride’ – a coach trip enlivened by Cobbett readings relevant to the journey – will this year be to the medieval moated manor house Ightham Mote near Sevenoaks in Kent. We will stop for coffee on the way in Sevenoaks.​

The trip is open to Cobbett Society members and non-members.  The cost will be £20 per person.  For those who are not National Trust members any National Trust entry fees will be additional and payable on the day. 

A coach will pick up from the Hart, Central Farnham at 9:45am and from Farnham Water Lane Sainsbury’s (at the bus stop / lay-by outside the site) at 10:00am. We will return at approximately 17:30. Parking at Sainsbury’s is free by special agreement but you must give us your car registration number.
